Casumo Casino Add Play’n GO Games to Their Growing PortfolioJanuary 24th, 2015
Casumo Casino are on a roll! They are adding Play’n GO games to their growing portfolio, marking it’s fourth software in less than a year. What games will you find, is it worth playing and what’s next for the quirky little casino?
Well isn’t that something?
For an online gambling site that started it’s life back in 2012 as just a NetEnt mobile casino, Casumo has had some surprising news in the last six months.
First they added Thunderkick games in June. Online slots only, granted, but a small niche little provider that fitted around the ‘Casumo’ mantra of being a little bit different and a little bit quirky.
So it was good news, but not earth shattering.
Then, in early December 2014, they announced the addition of a big, big casino games software; Novomatic. Suddenly they went from having a handful of low to mid variance games, to having big hitting, mega jackpot games.
This gave their players something totally different from what they were use to. This was old fashioned vegas style brick-and-mortar games, in a very new-fashioned social style casino.
And now Play’n GO? We’re not sure what schnapps they’ve been drinking in their Swedish headquarters, but Casumo mobile casino is now a completely different beast from what we first encountered.
Why Play’n GO games change things
For one, it means that Casumo is seriously moving in to the tablet and mobile phone casino market.
With NetEnt it had a handful of great games, but it was a limited selection. Thunderkick made no difference as it was only a handful of online slot machines at best.
Play’n GO games will be added by the end of February 2015 in batches
Novomatic casinos have a good selection of great mobile casino games, but again, their real stars are the many online slot machines they can provide, based on their far more famous land-based machines.
Play’n GO on the other hand, are all about mobile and tablets.
Not to say they don’t do online well, just that they came into the market with a ‘mobile first’ attitude back in 2004.
They’ve grown, they’ve changed, they now provide some very interesting spins.
Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry & Windows 7/8 phones casino games
In total, Casumo will be getting 70+ casino games, 40 of which are slots alone, in over 30 different available languages
They you have roulette, video poker, blackjack, Hi-low, scratchcards… Play’n GO provide the whole spectrum of games, something which Casumo lacked. Sure they have a couple of table games from NetEnt, but their focus has always been primarily on those spinning reels.
“We have been following Play’n GO’s progression since we went live and with their innovative approach, technical skills and strong focus on mobile… I ́m sure our players will appreciate the new games that will be added to Casumo.com” Oscar Simonsson, CEO of Casumo
Just by adding themselves to the long list of Play’n GO casinos, they’ve jumped from a dozen of mobile games to almost a hundred. Quite a significant jump.
Not to mention that they are currently the only suppliers to cover as many devices, as the likes of NetEnt and Novomatic only do iPad, iPhones and Android, whilst Play’n GO go much further by adding Blackberry and Windows phones.
But are the Play’n GO games any good?
As we all know, more doesn’t always mean better. So the question remains of whether this is a worthy addition to the Casumo casino platform.
As far as table games go, we have to admit, they are… lacking. The Play’n GO roulette table ranked the lowest in our opinion, and whilst the blackjack plays well, there are better looking tables out there.
Their scratch cards though, are actually really decent and fun, even if not plentiful.
Their video poker is good in terms of quality and game-play, especially if Casumo.com add their multi-hand video poker mobile games.
Still, when you are competing against IGT and Microgaming in this category, which they’ve been creating video poker since the dawn of the internet, it’s hard to get a foothold. Especially when your heart isn’t into it.
Because the their heart, is undoubtedly in the slots.

The mobile fruit machines
They started bringing out incredibly simple games out onto the market. Some you’ll still find, like Jewel Box, Jolly Roger and Gift Shop.
Many of them play like traditional fruit machines you’ll find down the pub.
It was, their first foray into the world of mobile and they wanted to make the games as simple as possible to fit as many devices as possible.
But things have moved on since 2004, and they have, slowly but surely, started to release more and better games. Games worthy of being played online, not just on your mobile device.
It started with the likes of Dragon Ship, Myth, Wild Blood, and Rich Wilde and the Aztec Idols.
Then they really upped their game in 2014 when they released 25 new mobile casino games, most of which were slots.
A wide variety of modern slot games
Yes there were some pretty… average… games *cough*SpaceRace*cough* in that selection.
But there were also some really interesting gems. From the surprising Chinese New Year, to the strange but compelling Energoonz & Golden Ticket, or even the beautifully simple Merry Xmas, there was plenty to enjoy in 2014.
“We believe that our games will work well in the innovative framework that Casumo provides to their players. Last year we released 25 new games, and especially games like “Gemix” and “Energoonz”, [which] will appeal to the players of Casumo.” says Robert Skogh, Business Development Director at Play’n GO.
Play’n GO have created some very different types of casino games, for a very different type of casino. And we all know that Casumo mobile casino is anything but standard.
Both are a little bit quirky, a little bit different, and punching to new heights, whilst providing some surprising joy for gamblers willing to take a chance.
A match made in heaven.
