About Jackpot Poker Play’n Go

Though rare machines, this jackpot poker isn’t quite tempting enough to excite us. You’ll need to be a real lover for chasing jackpot video poker wins.

Why? Because this Play’n Go poker machine is basically a Jacks or Better game with a progressive jackpot instead of the top royal flush prize.

Why is this a problem? Namely because there are way better Jacks or Better machines with better return to player rates than this little non-beauty. The return to player rate here should be at least 98% when you bet the maximum coins. It isn’t. At max coins you are talking merely 95.30% and if you decide to have a brain fart and not play max coins, the return lowers to a dramatically poor 91.30%.

Why brain fart? Well other than you should always play video poker with the maximum number of coins to get the best out of a full pay video poker game anyway, with this Jackpot Poker machine, it’s the only way to win the top prize. And if you are not going to aim for the jackpot, then what’s the point in playing on a game that gives you considerably worse odds than other Jacks or Better games?

Not to mention that that makes the minimum and maximum bet on this machine a simple 5 in cash. So that’s not much of a betting range.

It’s not terrible by any means. It played well across several tablet and phones and it has a nice gamble feature letting you double or quadruple your bets. It even has decent graphics that makes it stand out from other of its type. But it’s just not quite good enough in terms of numbers, especially with a jackpot that only just goes into the thousands.

It might be rare to find a Jackpot video poker machine, but we’d rather take our chances on the Jacks or Better games from other video poker providers with better odds and still decent enough in-game jackpots.
