Leander Games To Go Mobile?

December 16th, 2013 by LuckyMobileCasinos

We’ve heard along the grapevine that the modest but excellent Leander Games will soon start releasing their slots for mobile. If true, this is wonderful news.

Leander Games, despite being around since 2008 and winning as well as being shortlisted for numerous awards such as “Best Games”, “Innovation in Slots” and “Best Slot provider of the Year”, have not had the accreditation they deserve.

Chances are, if you are a slots fan, you’ve probably played on one of their online video slot machines and not even known it. MegaDeth, the metal band’s branded slot is by far the most well known, but not the most love. Reely Roulette, Jean of Wealth, Ali Baba and Snake Slot hold that honour.

This is undoubtedly due to the fact that Leander Games are a fairly small enterprise, as such they seldom release more than 3 or 4 online slots a year (that’s the casino game they do best and stick to – no blackjack, craps or poker here). Which is, of course, far less than Microgaming’s 30 odd releases a year, NetEnt’s 20 releases a year, or even Sheriff Gaming’s 15 releases a year.

So of course, you won’t be surprised to hear that they have been holding off turning their slots mobile, for the simple reason that they have their hands full developing the next beautiful video slot that will come out of their collection. Like master craftsmen, they won’t release a slot online until they feel it’s been perfectly worked out.

So is it True? And Which Games Will Come First?

We’ve heared whispers and rumours along the online gambling hotline that out there, somewhere, exists a demo of one of their recent releases in HTML5.

Online slots are made in ‘Flash’ code and mobile slots are made in ‘HTML5’ code.

Just for reference.

This can only mean one simple thing… Leander Games are planning on releasing a mobile game. In fact, we can tell you now which of their online slots will get the mobile and tablet treatment, and that’s Potion Factory, a cute, bright, fun colourful video slot which we think is ideally suited for the smaller screens.

Why are we particularly excited about this? To be honest, we’ve seen many average software companies ‘decide’ to do mobile games, without knowing much about casino games and slots. So what they have is reliable games that work really well on every device known to man, but is not particularly exciting for players (OMI Gaming for one, MultiSlot for another).

Leander Games come from the opposite direction. They know nothing about mobile. Why is that good? Because they know plenty about video slots and have created some great casino games that keep us returning time and time again. We prefer to live in the hope of great games that will be turned mobile, than be undoubtedly disappointed in playing on average mobile slots that were made for mobile, but no passion for the game.

And if there is one thing this growing Argentinian software has a’plenty of, is a passion for casino.
